Maharajah college introduces two new courses

VIZIANAGARAM: Andhra University Vice-Chancellor B. Satyanarayana on Friday lighted the lamp to mark the formal inauguration of two new courses -- M. Sc (bio-technology) and MHRM -- introduced in Maharajah’s Post Graduate College from this academic year. MANSAS educational institutions correspondent A. Raghava Rao, college director K. Hanumantha Rao, MVGR College of Engineering principal K.V.L. Raju and Nagarjuna University former vice-chancellor V. Bala Mohan Das felicitated Dr. Satyanarayana, who visited the college for the first time after assuming office as the Vice-Chancellor.

Turning nostalgic while addressing students, heads of various colleges governed by the MANSAS Trust, the Vice-Chancellor, who hails from Thandrangi village in Jami mandal in the district, said that he would work with commitment, sincerity and honesty for the development of higher education.

He recalled at length his academic achievements and the progress he made over the years. Dr. Bal Mohan Das said that the most sought after courses at present were bio-technology and human resources management. He asked students to concentrate most on discipline. Congratulating the college director on achieving ‘A’ grade accreditation from NAAC last year, Dr. Das suggested that students of all professional courses be taught basic issues of management for making them more productive.
