FTRE on Dec. 14

The FIITJEE Talent Reward Examination (FTRE) 2008 will be conducted on December 14 in 56 test centres across the country.

The examination is for students from class six to 12 who are appearing for board exams, competitive entrance exams, SAT, OLYMPIAD, NTSE and the IIT-JEE.

The examination will be conducted at FIITJEE centres at Delhi (South Delhi, East Delhi, North-West Delhi, Rohini and Janakpuri), Delhi NCR (Gurgaon, Noida and Faridabad), Amritsar, Bangalore, Bhilai, Bhopal, Bokaro, Chandigarh, Chennai (Adyar and Kilpauk), Hyderabad (Saifabad, Dilshuknagar and Kukatpally), Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata (Rabindra Sadan and Ultodanga–Salt Lake), Lucknow, Mumbai (Dadar, Andheri, Navi Mumbai and Chembur), Patna, Ranchi, Shaktinagar (NTPC) and Vizag, besides other FTRE test centres at Asansol, Bhagalpur, Bhatinda, Bhubaneswar, Dhanbad, Durgapur, Gorakhpur, Hisar, Kakinada, Kanpur, Karimnagar, Ludhiana, Muzaffarpur, Nagpur, Nellore, Neyveli, Patiala, Pune, Raipur, Thiruvanthapuram and Vijayawada.

Deadline

The last date to register for the examination is December 10. Further details and information about the registration process, test schedule, the details of syllabi and the regular FIITJEE programmes are available at www.fiitjee.com/ ftre.htm

The results will be declared on January 4 at www.fiitjee.com/ftre.htm

IBSAT 2008 on December 21

Common Aptitude Test, IBSAT 2008, for admission to ICFAI full time MBA programme for 2009-11 and one-year executive post-graduate programme will be held on December 21.

According to a release from ICFAI, the sale of applications is currently going on. The last date for receipt of IBSAT applications is November 20. Applicants interested in registering for IBSAT 2008 can fill up the online registration form available at www.ibsat.org.

National Defence Academy exam on April 19

The National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination will be held on April 19, 2009. Last date

Last date for submission of forms is November 17, 2008.

Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than January 2, 1991 and not later than July 1, 1993 are eligible.

Army

For Army Wing, candidates need to pass Inter or its equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a university. For Air Force and Naval Wings and for 10+2 (Executive Branch) Course of Naval Academy, a pass in Intermediate or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics is a must. Andhra University degree exams from March 2

VISAKHAPATNAM: The theory examinations of first, second and third year examinations of B.A., B.Com., B.Sc. (home science), B.A. (OL), B.C.A., B.E.M. and B.B.M. courses of Andhra University will commence on March 2, 2009.

The English practical examinations will be held from January 20 to February 10 and the science practical examinations from February 12 to 26, according to a press release from Controller of Examinations K. Samrajyalakshmi.

The last date for payment of examination fee is December 1 without fine and December 10 with a late fee of Rs. 500. Applications will be accepted for only theory papers 10 days before commencement of examination on payment of a penal fee of Rs. 2,000.

Additional fee

Proforma of the examination application form can be downloaded from the AU website http/ www.andhrauniversity.info/exams/appl.html and has to be submitted to the Principal of college concerned.

An additional fee of Rs. 30 towards examination application form has to be paid along with examination fee.

Students of B.Com. (restructured), CCS, vocational (old) courses prior to B.A. bathces of 1998-1999 and B.Sc. 1994-95 batches will be permitted to appear for the left over papers under Part I and Part II at the special examination, which would be held along with the regular candidates and this will be the last chance for them.

The special examination will be held at Sir C.R.R. College for Boys, Elurur (for West Godavari district); S.K.V.T. College, Rajahmundry (East Godavari); Dr. V.S. Krishna Govt. Degree College here (Visakhapatnam); M.R. College for Boys, Vizianagaram (Vizianagaram) and Government Degree College for Boys, Srikakulam (Srikakulam district).

In case the candidates failed in the special examinations of Part I and Part II, they will be permitted to complete the course under the School of Distance Education after taking readmission.

Applications submitted by the candidates by post or in person at the university office will not be entertained.

Hall tickets dispatched

Hall tickets of B.A./B.Com. (all three years) for supplementary examinations – 2008 being offered by Prof. G. Ram Reddy Centre for Distance Education, Osmania University have been dispatched to respective addresses of the candidates. Those who do not receive them before Thursday can collect their duplicate hall ticket from the distance education centre on October 10 between 10.30 a.m. and 5 p.m. They would need to submit two passport size photographs along with a demand draft of Rs.40 in favour of the Controller of Examinations, OU.

The Dakshin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha (Andhra) will conduct Hindi exams

The Dakshin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha (Andhra) will conduct examinations in Prathamic, Madhyama, Rashtra, Pravesika, Visarada and Praveena on August 9 and 10.

The Sabha is also proposing to organise a Hindi Vidyarthi Mela on August 3 at its branch office in Machavaram here. Classes in grammar, translation and other subjects in the syllabus will be conducted by expert teachers. For further details, interested candidates can contact in person or over phone 0866 2433404.

M. Tech exam from August 11

The second semester M. Tech examination in all colleges affiliated to Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur, will be held from August 11 and the last date for paying the prescribed fee is July 7.
Controller of Examinations K. Nageswara Rao, in a release on Saturday, said that fee could be paid till July 11 with a late fee of Rs.100. Applications should be sent to the university along with demand draft by July 21. The fee for whole examination was Rs. 1,210.
The B. Pharmacy semester I and IV examinations would also be held from August 11 for which the last date of payment of fee was July 8 and with a late fee of Rs.100 it was July 14. The fee for all papers was Rs. 485 and applications must be submitted by July 24.
