Seminar on Nano technology

VISAKHAPATNAM: Nano technology would do a lot of benefit to the developing countries like India and the Indian universities and researchers could concentrate on the nano sciences to meet the future demands, a professor from Germany Annie K. Powell said here on Monday. She was addressing a national conference on recent trends in materials chemistry- special emphasis on nano materials, organised by the Department of Chemistry, GITAM University.

President of GITAM University M.V.V.S. Murthi said that nano technology has a great future for development of quality of life. He announced that GITAM University allotted special funds to conduct nano technology-related research.

A professor from IIT Ashok K. Ganguli, Vice-Chancellor M. Gangadhara Rao, Prinicpal of GITAM Institute of Science N. Laxmana Das, convener of the seminar M. Sarat Chandra Babu and others spoke.
