MBA - INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS (IB) DEGREE PROGRAMME (2009-2011)

Indian Institute of Foregin Trade provides world class education and training in international trade and business, besides being a remier Centre of Research. The Institute, a Deemed University set up by the Department of Commerce, Government of India, invites applications for MBA (IB) Degree programme being offered at Delhi and Kolkata campuses.
ELIGIBILITY:
Recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years’ duration in any discipline.
Candidates appearing for a qualifying examination can also apply subject to submission of proof of requisite qualification by October 7, 2009.No age limit
RESERVATIONS:
Seats are reserved as per Government of India rules. The reservations are subject to candidates meeting the admission requirements of the Institute under different categoreis.
MODE OF ADMISSION
For General/SC/ST/PH/OBC category :
On the basis of Written Test, Group Discussion and Interview
Written Test on SUNDAY, November 23, 2008 during 10.00 a.m. and 12.00 noon at Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar , Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore,Delhi, Dehradun, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur and Visakhapatnam.
Based on marks for written test, a limited number of candidates will be invited for secon phase of selection process comprising Group Discussion, Essay Writing and Interview to be held at Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow and Mumbai.
IIFT reserves the right to add/delete any centre, if required.
For Foreign/NRI/Children of NRI :
Seats are reserved for foreign nationals, NRIs and children of NRS and the admission is considered on the basis of General Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) score of which should not have been declared before January 1, 2007 and should be received by the Institute latest by March 31st, 2009.
PLACEMENT:
Campus recruitment facilities are available.
HOSTEL:
Hostel facilities are at both IIFT Delhi and Kolkata Centre.

The Prospectus and Application Form may be obtained by post form IFFT DELHI CENTRE only by sending a request accompanied by demand draft/pay order of Rs.1300/- favouring INDIAN INSTITUTE OF FOREIGN TRADE payable at NEW DELHI (RS.700/- for SC/ST/PH candidates and US$ 75 or Rs.3000/- for Foreign /NRI/Children of NRIs) and two self-addressed (with Tel.No.) adhesive stickers. SC/ST/PH candidates to attach requisite category Certificate also.

Pattern of Admission Test:
The admission test is a multiple choice objective type written test (in English).
Duration of the test is two hours and will cover English Comprehension, General Knowledge & Awareness, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Analysis.
Tution Fees:
THE EXACT AMOUNT OF TUTION FEE AND OTHER CHARGERS, AS APPLICABLE FOR MBA(IB) 2009-11, WILL BE INFORMED TO THE STUDENTS AT THE TIME OF SENDING THE OFFER LETTERS IN MARCH 2009. HOWEVER, FOR THE CURRENT BATCH THE FEE IS Rs. 2,50,000 PER YEAR(50% CONCESSION TO SC/ST/PH CANDIDATES) AND US$ 16,000 PER YEAR FOR FOREIGN/NRI/CHILDREN OF NRI.
Admit Cards:
The Admit Cards will be sent BY POST to all the students, who submit filled-in Application Forms complete in all respects (online or offline), in the first week of November 2008. Applicants, who do not receive their Admit Cards by 14th November 2008 can download the Admit Card from IIFT's website. With a printout of the Admit Card, the candidates should reach the venue of the Exam Centre on 23 November 2008 latest by 9.00 a.m. with one of the proofs of identity such as:
Passport
Election I-Card
College I-Card
Driving I-Card
for appearing in the Exam.
