Learn archaeology in distance mode

The Centre for Heritage Studies (CHS) of the Department of Cultural Affairs has come up with distance learning programmes (DLP) in archaeology, epigraphy and archival studies. Graduates from any recognised university are eligible and there is no age bar.
The course fee is Rs.5, 000. The academic year for the DLP will be from July to June every year.
The archaeology course will expose the students to the basic aspects of archaeology and they will be given training in exploration and excavation methods too.
In the archives and epigraphy programme, the students will be trained in archive management and epigraphy.
The centre also offers regular , post graduate diploma courses in archaeology and archival studies.
The application forms can be obtained in person or by post from the registrar of the centre, functioning at the Hill Palace Museum, Tripunithura, near Kochi.
