Bioinformatics course

The Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology (IBAB), Bangalore – 560 066 (Phone: 080 – 284100291, 284102769, 284106034) has invited applications for its all-India entrance test to be held on September 14, 2008 at Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and New Delhi for admissions to the post graduate diploma courses in bioinformatics (18 months), cheminformatics (18 months), bio-techniques (8-14 months) and advanced diploma in organic synthesis (9 months).

Eligibility for post graduate diploma in bioinformatics is a graduate or post graduate degree in life sciences, engineering, computer science, statistics, mathematics, physics, chemistry, pharmacy, medicine, agriculture or veterinary sciences.

Eligibility for post graduate diploma in cheminformatics is M.Sc. in any branch of chemistry, Bachelor’s or Master’s in pharmacy or BE or B.Tech. in chemical engineering.

Eligibility for post graduate diploma in bio-techniques is M.Sc. in life sciences, B.Tech. in biotechnology or M.B.B.S.

Eligibility for advanced diploma in organic synthesis is M.Sc. in organic chemistry.
