Hyderabad July 17: The Icet-2008 counselling for admissions into MBA and MCA courses in minority colleges will begin from Friday. Online counselling will be held simultaneously at Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Kadapa and Visakhapatnam. The Consortium of Andhra Pradesh Minority Educational Institutions will conduct the counselling under Single Window-II, as per the guidelines laid down by the state government. The counselling under Single Window-I (SW-I) had started on July 9. Now it is being conducted by the Osmania University authorities under the supervision of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education.'Majority of the minority institutions including those run by the Muslims, Christians, Sikhs and other linguistic minorities who had opted to conduct counselling under SW-II.
In all, 190 MBA and MCA colleges with nearly 15,000 seats would be holding counselling under SW-II. Wualified candidates from Muslim communities have been invited for counselling from July 18 to 22. This would be followed by the Christians on July 23 in the morning session and the Sikhs and other linguistic minorities in the afternoon session. In Hyderabad, counselling will be held at AP Veterinary Association hall in Shantinagar at Masab Tank. It will be held at AQJ College of Engineering in Visakhapatnam, at Madina College of Engineering in Kadapa and Nimra College in Vijayawada. The counselling will start at 9 am.
