Forestry management

The Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM), Bhopal – 460 003, Madhya Pradesh, has invited applications for admission to its Post graduate diploma in forestry management (PGDFM) and Fellow programme in management (FPM).

PGDFM is a two-year fulltime residential programme approved by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Selection is through IIM-CAT score by short listing applicants. FPM is a four-year AICTE approved doctoral programme open to meritorious post graduates. IIM-CAT score will also be considered for selection. Finishing school

The Finishing School of the LBS Institute of Technology for Women, Poojappura, Thiruvananthapuram – 12 has invited applications for an entrance test to be held on August 3, 2008, for admission to the soft skills development and employability enhancement programme.

Women candidates who have passed BA, B.Sc. or B.Com are eligible to apply for the programme.

Duration of the training programme is 700 hours. Fees is Rs.3,000.

Application form and other details can be downloaded from the web site www.lbsitw.ac.in and the filled in application forms are to be submitted on or before July 25, 2008.

The entrance test will include questions in general knowledge, numerical ability and general English.
