Admissions Started in University of Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: The first spell of admissions of the University of Hyderabad (UoH) for the academic year 2008-09 started on Thursday and the lush green campus was dotted with students coming from all over the country.
The Controller of Examinations of UoH, Ch. Venkateswara Rao, said the admissions are being held for M.Sc, MCA and MA programmes in Humanities. Admissions of MA in Social Sciences would start on Friday while the first spell ends on Saturday.
Vacancies would be filled by waitlisted candidates in the second spell, which would be held on July 14 and 15.
The admission process of Central University is simple and hassle free.
Students get conditional admission if they are unable to submit all the required certificates at the time of admission.
However, Mr. Rao asked the OBC students to get the certificate in the Central Government prescribed format which has the portions of the caste and creamy layer on a single sheet.
“We don’t accept the separate certificates of Backward Caste and income,” he said.
