Anna University - Tiruchi is all set to offer M.Tech. in Nano Science and Technology from this academic year.
The university has roped in experienced faculty in the areas of nano particles, biotechnology, materials science and pervasive computing for conducting the programme that would be offered under two streams: electronics and biomedical engineering. Twen ty-five students will be chosen for the programme on the basis of their Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) performance, Vice-Chancellor V. Ramachandran said.
The university has been offering six postgraduate engineering programmes: ME in pervasive computing technologies; software engineering; energy engineering; and computer Science and Engineering; and M.Tech. in biotechnology and petrochemical technology.
The other postgraduate programmes are M. Pharm. in pharmaceutics; and pharmaceutical analysis; MCA; and MBA.
