Hyderabad: Eamcet-2008 counselling for admissions to engineering courses in the state will begin on July 16. The first phase will go on till July 31. A total of 2,51,737 candidates qualified for the engineering stream of Eamcet. There are 338 engineering colleges in the state which offer 1.21 lakh seats and 224 pharmacy colleges with an intake of 13,300 seats.
ICET counselling for admissions into MBA and MCA courses from July 9.
While the notification for the EAMCET counselling will be issued shortly, the ICET notification will be issued in a day, source said.
The engineering counselling will be held in eight centres in the State this year.
Students attending the first round of ICET counselling would be given a scratch card.
Sitting at home, students can now use this card, having unique code number, to select options of subjects online before attending second round of counselling.
