WARANGAL: A five day training programme for PG teachers sponsored by AP State Council for Higher Education began in the Senate Hall of Kakatiya University on Tuesday. Nearly 500 PG colleges lecturers took part in the training programme.
Speaking to the lecturers at the inaugural function, the chief guest university Vice-Chancellor N. Linga Murthy exhorted them to strive to maintain standards in teaching. It was obligatory on the part of all the colleges to provide quality education and infrastructural facilities for the students.
Industry representatives are being included in the Boards of Studies to frame courses that suit the needs of the industry, he said.
Guest of honour, APSCHE Vice-Chairman P. Jayaprakash Rao said every teacher should be a life-long learner to justify teaching profession.
