NIT to host engineering congress

23rd Indian Engineering Congress to be held from December 11

‘Environment and Ecological Challenges: Role of Engineers’ as theme

WARANGAL: Commemorating the golden jubilee celebrations, the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Warangal proposed to host the 23rd Indian Engineering Congress from December 11 to 14 at its premises here.
The Institution of Engineers India, Warangal chapter is organising the event in association with the NIT for the first time outside Hyderabad, said local chapter chairman Prof. A. Kamasundara Rao and honorary secretary Prof. D.V.L.N. Somayajulu.
The organising committee chairman and NIT director Prof. Y. V. Rao said about 1,500 delegates including 300 delegates from different countries would take part in deliberations during the Engineering Congress.
Prof. Kamasundara Rao said felicitations to eminent personalities, keynote address by prominent speakers, guest lectures, publication of proceedings and exhibition of new products and technologies form part of the event. The theme of the Congress would be ‘Environment and Ecological Challenges: Role of Engineers’.
