ICFAI University, Tripura, has launched an MBA-CFA dual degree programme, designed to give students two career-oriented professional qualifications in management and financial analysis.
Instead of the normal duration of four years (two years for MBA and two years for CFA), the programme offers both degrees in 27 months.
The MBA stream is designed to provide both a portfolio of strong functional skills and the ability to apply, adapt, synthesize and integrate those skills into different management settings. The CFA stream provides an in-depth understanding of financial analysis. The knowledge acquired can be applied in the banking and financial services sector and areas like strategic finance, mergers and acquisitions, risk management and consulting.
Graduates in any discipline with 55 per cent and above aggregate marks are eligible to apply. CAs and CWAs with a bachelor’s degree are also eligible for waivers in four subjects.
The dual degree programme is based on self-study and examinations. The university provides a detailed study plan, courseware and E–learning Package. Training classes are optional and will involve an extra charge.
