AP State students excel in AIEEE

Hyderabad, June 3: After hogging the limelight in IIT exam, students from Andhra Pradesh have secured top ranks in the prestigious All India Engineering/ Architecture entrance examination (AIEEE-2008), the results of which were announced on Tuesday. Students from Andhra Pradesh excelled in both the disciplines of B.Tech and B.Arch courses by securing ranks in Top-10 at the national-level. While in B.Tech, students from the state secured 2, 4, 8, 10 and 12 ranks. In B.Arch the best ranks secured were 3, 4, 7, 12, 13, 14 and 15.
Students from the state secured more than 30 ranks in Top 100 in both B.Tech and B.Arch courses at the national-level. Most of the top ranks were secured by Narayana and Sri Chaitanya colleges respectively. Students of Narayana, D. Anupam, G. Abhinav, I. Shashi and Sajiv Chandra secured 2, 4, 10 and 12th ranks respectively at national-level in the B.Tech category, while A. Madhubabu, Vishnuvardhan, Prithviraj, S. Chandra and N.V. Sowmya secured 12, 14, 15, 29, 26th ranks in B.Arch category. Students of Narayana secured 29 ranks below 100 at national-level in both categories.
While Ch. Dinesh of Sri Chaitanya college secured 3rd rank at national-level in B.Arch course, Srinivas Aditya secured 4th rank, H. Srikanth secured 7th rank and Venkat Nihar from the same college got 13th rank in the same category. Shidikanth from Sri Chaitanya secured 8th rank at national-level in B.Tech course. Students of Sri Chaitanya secured 32 ranks below 100 at national-level in both categories
