ELURU: Information Technology (IT) sector has witnessed a spurt in job potential in the State in the last three years, according to M. Chandrasekhar, Director, Institute for Electronic Governance Society.
He told reporters here on Friday that a survey conducted recently had revealed that the number of jobs in the IT sector were increasing by 30 per cent. He, however, observed that the presence of BCs, SCs and Muslim minorities in the IT sector was found to be nominal.
Keeping in mind the trends, the Jawahar Knowledge Centre (JKC) has charted out a course of action for drawl of these sections into the IT sector by organising a series of residential training programmes for the undergraduates from these sections. Training on promotion of soft skills, communication skills, problem solving and fundamentals of technical skills would be imparted during the six-month long training programme, he added.
Mr. Chandrasekhar was here to take part in the inaugural of a training centre of that nature at Kavuri Foundation office at Ashok Nagar here. B.J. Jaggannadha Raju, secretary and crrespondent of the Kavuri Foundation, also spoke.
