GITAM University to offer new courses

VISAKHAPATNAM: For the first time in Andhra Pradesh or probably in South India, GITAM University is introducing Master of Finance and Control (MFC), as a two-year course for undergraduates and as a five-year integrated course for those who have passed Intermediate (plus two) along with the four-year B.B.A. (honours) programmes.
Along with these courses GITAM is also introducing the four-year B.Com. (honours) programme and admissions into these courses and the two-year M.B.A., five-year integrated M.B.A.. M.H.R.M., PG Advanced Diploma in Risk and Insurance Management, B.B.M. and B. Pharm would be held through the GITAM Admission Test (GAT) to be held here, Vice-Chancellor M. Gangadhara Rao said at a press conference here on Saturday.
Registrar P.M. Vali, Principals of GITAM Institute of Management, GITAM College of Pharmacy, GITAM College of Science and Dean of GITAM Institute of Foreign Trade K. Sivaramakrishna, P. Suresh, N. Laxmana Das and S.R. Patnaik respectively, Director of Admissions J. Chandulal, and Secretary of GITAM B.V. Mohana Rao were also present.
The MFC programmes were designed to equip the students with the required skills in financial planning, decision-making and control. The programmes would offer very good opportunities for the students in several areas, said Prof. Sivaramakrishna. The five-year programme would comprehensively mould the student and make him or her ready to take up a challenging job.

Application forms

The application forms are being issued since June 17 and can also be downloaded from the GITAM website and July 2 it the last date for submitting the filled in applications.
