Hyderabad, June 20: The Indian School of Business (ISB) in the city is organising video conferences to attract more students. With the help of the video conferences, students in faraway cities and towns can clear their doubts on various academic and non-academic issues with ISB authorities.
The institute is also making a presentation on the admission process, fee structure and the value of the courses it offers. This prestigious B-school has launched the campaign since it feels that aspirant students do not know much about it.
Prospective students for the next academic batch have registered on the institute’s website for the video conference sessions. "There is a misconception amongst the students from smaller towns that ISB is only for the elite class. Through these sessions we want to dispel those misconceptions. Our staff will also clear all doubts of students," says Ms Bhuvana Ramalingam, director of communications at ISB.
The institute is conducting these video conference sessions in Visakhapatnam on Saturday and in Bengaluru this Sunday. More than 25 students are expected to take part in the session in Visakhapatnam while the number is expected to be more than 250 in Bengaluru.
ISB is also going to cities such as Coimbatore, Madurai, Lucknow, Sholapur, Agra and Ludhiana to lure students for the first time since its inception. Until now, such video conferences were only being conducted in big metros such as Delhi and Mumbai more than three times in a year. ISB wants a more pluralistic student population and is all set to reach out to remote towns and cities.
