MCI approves 25 medical colleges in China

Guntur, June 27: The Medical Council of India has enhanced the number seats in three medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh renewed the permission of NRI Medical College in Guntur. It has also published a list of 25 Chinese medical institutions admitting international students for 2008-09 academic year.
Seats in Narayana Medical College, Nellore, Mamata Medical College, Khammam, and Kamineni Institute of Medical Sciences, Narketpally have been enhanced from 100 to 150 under Sec. 10(A) of the Council’s Act and the NRI Medical College set up in 2003 has been permitted to an intake of 150 for 2008-09 academic year.
An MCI release said that according to a letter from Embassy of India, Beijing Deputy Chief of Mission Sh. Saurabh Kumar, on Ministry of Education of Peoples Republic of China has institutionalised the enrolment plan for 2008-2009 which include 25 colleges and universities teaching in English medium.

The names of 25 universities are given here along with number of seats available in each.
