Courses at Carnegie university

You don’t have to head West to study at the renowned American Carnegie Mellon university.

Instead, you could head East to study at its Australian campus — and take advantage of several scholarships as well.

Scholarships

Part and full scholarships are available for meritorious students wishing to pursue their MS in Information Technology or in Public Policy and Management at the Carnegie Mellon Heinz School, which is the university’s Australian campus, for the January 2009 intake.

Ranking

The value of scholarships available (for tuition fee only) ranges approximately between Rs.10 lakh and 28 lakh.

Both courses are prestigious ones at the American campus, with the MS in IT ranked No.1 and the other course ranked No. 4 in the U.S., according to the US News and World Reports ranking system.

Both courses comprise 12 full-semester classes and can be completed in one year.

Admission criteria

Admission criteria are stringent and only students with excellent marks will be considered for admission followed by scholarships.

Any work experience will be added merit for admission to the courses.

A complete admission application must include an online application with official transcripts from all colleges and universities the candidate attended thus far, official GMAT or GRE scores, official TOEFL or IELTS scores, a current resume, three letters of recommendation and a 1,000-word essay describing one’s background and career goals.
