IRMA invites applications

The Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) has invited applications from Indian nationals for the common entrance test to be held on November 9, 2008 across the country for admission to its postgraduate programme in rural management (PRM — 2009-11) and fellow programme in rural management (FPRM- 2009). Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Coimbatore, Chennai, Bangalore and Kolkata are among the test centres.

Graduates in any discipline with at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate (45 per cent for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes categories and persons with disabilities) are eligible to apply for PRM.

Eligibility for FRPM is a Master’s degree in any discipline or a four or five-year professional degree. Final-year students completing the eligibility requirements by June 8, 2009 may also apply. PRM is a two-year and FPRM is a 3-year (doctoral) residential programme. FPRM participants are eligible to receive a fellowship of Rs.10,000 a month and contingency grant of Rs.20,000 a year. Those who successfully complete these programmes could enjoy campus placement assistance provided by IRMA. The application form may be downloaded from the IRMA website www.irma.ac.in . Last date for receipt of completed applications is October 6, 2008.
