The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi, has invited applications for the National Eligibility Test (NET) for science subjects to be held on December 21, 2008. The test is conducted jointly by CSIR and the University Grants Commission for determining the eligibility for awarding Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and lectureship. Candidates can apply for both JRF and lectureship together or for lectureship only. Separate merit list will be prepare d for JRF and lectureship. Lectureship is the eligibility for appointment as lecturers in colleges.
Those qualifying in JRF will be eligible for fellowship to pursue Ph.D. programmes.
Candidates can apply online on www.csirhrdg.res.in before September 4, 2008. A printout of the application form should be sent to the Sr. Controller of Examinations, Human Resource Development Group, Examination Unit, CSIR Complex, Library Avenue, Pusa, New Delhi–110 012 so as to reach him before September 11.
