ANU finalises syllabus for bachelor courses

GUNTUR: Acharya Nagarjuna University Undergraduate Courses Board of Studies met on Thursday and finalised the syllabus for the bachelor courses and the same will be put on the Internet on Monday or Tuesday.

The syllabus for the remaining two years will be put on the website in a couple of days.
The Vice-Chancellor has put his approval signature on the decisions taken at the Board of Studies meeting. A similar meeting a fortnight ago could not conclude its deliberations and failed to take a decision on the new syllabus. On Thursday, 24 members of the committee attended the meeting to give it a final shape.

Workshop

A workshop on ‘employability communication skills’ will be organised jointly at Dr. H.H. Deichmann Auditorium on the Acharya Nagarjuna University campus by A.P. State Council of Higher Education and Liqwid Krystal in association with the university at 10 a.m. on August 4.
The university registrar in a release here on Thursday said that the programme was meant to create awareness about the need for improving communication skills in English and basic computer skills among the under-graduate students to enable them to enhance their employability levels.

Principals, secretaries and correspondents of degree colleges, affiliated to ANU, have been invited to participate in the workshop.

The meeting will be addressed by A.P. State Council of Higher Education chairman K.C. Reddy and attended by Anand Adkoli, Chairman of Liqwid Krystal. The company team will make a presentation on the theme of the workshop. University Vice-Chancellor Y.R. Haragopal Reddy will preside over the meeting.
