HYDERABAD: The State government on Monday issued a notification informing the schedule of the first phase of engineering counselling, which would be held between July 16 and August 7 at eight centres in the State. In the first phase, candidates up to 54,000 ranks would be called for counselling.
Centralised counselling for physically-handicapped, children of armed personnel and NCC candidates would be held between August 9 and 13 at Sankethika Vidya Bhavan, Masab Tank, Hyderabad.
The counselling will be held at eight centres this year. The centres - Sankethika Vidya Bhavan, Masab Tank, Government Institute of Printing Technology, East Marredpally in twin cities, Government Polytechnic for Women, Gujjanagundla, Guntur, Government Polytechnic, Kancharapalem, Visakhapatnam, Government Polytechnic, Ring Road, opposite Stella College of Vijayawada, Government Polytechnic, M.G.M. Circle in Warangal, S.V. Government Polytechnic, K.T. Road in Tirupathi and Government Polytechnic for Women, Ramanjaneyapuram in Kadapa.
Scratch card will be given to all the candidates appearing for the counselling. Around three lakh scratch cards have been made..
Till today 124 new engineering colleges have been sanctioned taking the total to 452 colleges in the State. Among the newly sanctioned colleges, 25 colleges are exclusively for women.
