HYDERABAD: Sreenidhi International School added a new feather to its cap by starting an international exchange programme –‘Aligning Global Education, Culture & Leadership Development’ with St. Mark’s School, Texas and Episcopal School, Dallas of the USA.
Under this collaboration, students and teachers from the school will visit US schools for a period of three weeks to one month to learn the academic, cultural and social aspects of the host society.
The students from standard 8 to 12 will go to schools in US under the programme, stay with the host families and attend school. K.T. Mahi, Chairman of the school said, “The international exchanges would give opportunity to staff and students to move towards their goals, based on values such as world citizenship and leadership qualities.

Plans for summer

The student and teachers will visit the US schools either in summer vacation or during Dasara, without disturbing the academic calendar,” said V. Srinivasan, principal of the school.
Five teachers and 10-15 students will be sent to American schools, with the consent of parents and all students will get a chance to participate in the programme.

The school is planning to enter into tie-ups with UK and Australian schools for students to get exposure to various countries.

A proposal to bring American students to Sreenidhi is in the pipeline. Teachers from St. Mark’s and Episcopal schools felt that the exchange will provide an opportunity for better cultural understanding.
